EWCS has High-Quality Welding Cable

Welding cable is an amazingly versatile type of electrical cable. It can handle high voltages and offers superior flexibility and durability to ordinary home cables. At Electric Wire and Cable Specialists (EWCS), we offer a huge selection of welding cables to fit a wide range of applications. If you need to replace your welding cables, or just need a high voltage cable you can rely on, check out our stock at EWCS today.

As the name suggests, Welding Cable is mainly used for welding equipment. While the power source for welding may not require welding cable, it is crucial for providing power to the electrode holder. The conductivity and flexibility of these cables allow the welder to operate at high ampacity and easily move around the workpiece without putting the user at risk.

A process such as arc welding requires one cable to be attached to the workpiece and another which provides power to the consumable electrode. When the arc is struck from the electrode, massive amounts of power are transferred through the workpiece. When this circuit is completed, massive amounts of heat melt the electrode and allows the welder to fuse metal to the workpiece. In addition to welding, these cables are perfect for batteries, generators, solar hookups, and inverters. Whenever you need a flexible cable that can handle up to 600 volts, welding cable will usually be your best option.

We offer eight welding cable varieties based on gauge and connector type. Our cables are available in the following gauges 6, 4, 2, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, and 4/0. We also offer cables with pre-installed Lenco connectors for easy hookup to welding equipment straight out of the box. We offer all of our cables in convenient lengths including 10, 15, 20, 25, 50, 100, and 250 ft. If you need custom cable lengths, we are happy to work with your business to get you the exact cables you need.

The reason welding cables are so flexible is the fact that they are made up of many thin copper strands. Our 6 gauge wire contains 259 strands of copper and our massive 4/0 gauge wires contain 2014 strands of copper. This allows the wire to easily conduct high currents while remaining extremely flexible. All of our welding cables are insulated with ethylene propylene diene monomer(EPDM) rubber. This insulationoffers oil and gas resistance and is rated fortemperatures ranging from -50 °C to 105 °C (-58 °F to 221 °F). We offer our wires in red and black, with some gauges also available in blue, green and yellow.

In addition to our welding cable, EWCS produces many other varieties of quality wire and cable. We offer tray cables, marine rated cable, instrumentation and electrical cables, and many types of copper cable. No matter what kind of wire and cable your business needs, we can offer you a great deal and fast shipping. If you are looking for a cable variety we do not offer, give our
team a call and we can suggest a suitable alternative or manufacture a cable that will meet your needs perfectly.
